Women's Soccer

A Wilmington native, Luis played high school soccer at Banning High where he helped lead the Pilots to the L.A. City Championship his senior year.  He was voted team, conference and city M.V.P.  He then left to play two years at East L.A. College where he was an all conference player and team M.V.P. his sophomore year.  The Huskies were ranked #1 in the state both years but were only able to reach the state semifinals.  He finished his collegiate soccer career at Cal State Dominguez Hills.  He was team captain his senior year and was an all conference player.  There he won the 2000 Division 2 National Championship.  The following year, they lost 2-1 in the final, but he was voted Final Four Defensive M.V.P.

Luis has been coaching for many years.  He began coaching at Banning High School.  He has been the assistant coach at L.A. Harbor College since 2002.  Now he looks forward to the new challenge of being the women’s soccer head coach at L.A. Harbor.
