Christina Couroux, Life Science Laboratory Technician, joined the Science Division in December, 2003 after having spent 2.5 years as an Ornithology Curatorial Assistant at the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History. She received her B.S in Environmental Biology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. This was followed by an M.S. in Biology at the same institution with a thesis project on American Redstart territorial behavior and vocalizations. After coming to Southern California, Christina was involved with work on the endangered San Clemente Island Loggerhead Shrike.
Interests: Birding, her dog Sasha, forensic science, computers and travel.

Ana-Ester Escandon joined the LAHC faculty in 1995 as Assistant Professor of Biology and Physiology.She received her B.S. and M.S. from CSULB and a Ph.D. from UCLA. Her present teaching schedule includes Biology 3 and Physiology 1. |

Timothy McCord joined Los Angeles Harbor College in the Fall, 1999. He attended Saddleback College 1986-1988, whereupon he went on to the University of California at Irvine. There he received his B.S. in 1990 and his Ph.D. in 1996, both in Biological Science. He presently is teaching in the area of human physiology at LAHC. |

Dr. Randy L. Wade joined LAHC as a permanent instructor in the Fall 2002 after spending a year as a Postdoctoral fellow at UCLA and Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She received her B.A. in Integrative Biology (Ecology and Behavior emphasis) at UC Berkeley, her M.A. in Biology (Ecology emphasis) and Ph.D. in Biology (Molecular Biology emphasis) both from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona. Her teaching assignment at L.A. Harbor College includes Microbiology 20, Anatomy 1 laboratory and Human Biology (Biology 5). She is a member of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS). Susan E. Yoder, Instructor of Biological Science, received her B.A. from UCSB, M.S. from CSULA and Ph.D. from UCI. In 1995 she began her full assignment with the PACE program at LAHC. Her instructional responsibilities include Biology 3, Oceanography and Environmental Science. |
