Summer 2007

In summer 2007, we went to “Polynesia,” and my son Ben learned to surf.  (Hawaii is part of Polynesia.)  In Big Bear, I prayed fervently for rain, because the place felt ready to “torch” easily.  I was happy to see the news clips later in August that my prayers are being answered.

I also redid most of my garden to make it more water-efficient (for “global warming”), harvested hundreds of tomatoes, and stocked the freezer with homemade spaghetti sauce, wild berry jam, and fresh peach – raspberry sauce.  Yum.
